Geraldton Wax Atar
Geraldton Wax Atar offers delicate white flowers with fresh green foliage, providing excellent contrast and versatility in large-scale bouquets and supermarket floral ranges. With strong stems, uniform grading, and a vase life of up to 10 days, it is a reliable filler for bulk export programmes.
Geraldton Wax Atar (Chamelaucium uncinatum) is recognised for its clean white flowers accented by pale green centres, creating a crisp and elegant filler option for a wide range of colour palettes. Native to Western Australia but cultivated in South Africa through OZ Flora’s supplier network, Atar is well-suited for straight-line bunches, supermarket retail floral lines, and as a filler in mass-market bouquets. Its light colouring makes it a popular choice for seasonal promotions, including spring and wedding-focused retail collections.
Quality & Handling
- Cut and graded to export standard under strict cold-chain management; stems are selected for length, straightness, and branching uniformity with clean foliage and vibrant flower colour
- Expected vase life of 7–10 days under standard conditions; with optimal hydration and hygiene may last up to 12–14 days
- Re-cut stems by 2–3 cm at an angle and place immediately into clean, sanitised buckets of fresh water with a hydration solution or floral preservative to assist uptake; woody stems can be slow to rehydrate if untreated
- Allow at least 4–6 hours of conditioning before onward distribution or use
- Moderately ethylene sensitive — exposure may trigger petal shatter and leaf drop, so ethylene protection is advised during shipping and storage
- Lead times and freight rates vary by destination.
- All products are subject to seasonal availability, please contact us for current availability, pricing and export options.
- Bulk pricing available for large-volume orders; minimum order quantities apply.
- Dedicated export solutions with competitive freight arrangements.
