Geraldton Wax Dancing Queen
Geraldton Wax Dancing Queen is a unique variety with double-petalled, ruffled flowers in soft lilac-pink shades. With reliable stem quality, vase longevity, and excellent shipping resilience, it offers a premium filler for bouquets, supermarket floral lines, and seasonal promotions.
Geraldton Wax Dancing Queen (Chamelaucium uncinatum) is a distinctive waxflower cultivar featuring semi-double to double blooms with a textured, ruffled appearance. Its petals open in delicate lilac to pale pink shades, softening to pastel tones as they mature. Native to Western Australia but cultivated in South Africa through OZ Flora’s supplier farms, Dancing Queen stands out for its novelty flower form and volume. It is especially suited to wedding assortments, seasonal retail floral promotions, supermarket bouquet programmes, and straight-line bunches where differentiation and texture are key.
Quality & Handling
- Cut and graded to export standard under strict cold-chain management; stems are selected for length, straightness, and branching uniformity with clean foliage and vibrant flower colour
- Expected vase life of 7–10 days under standard conditions; with optimal hydration and hygiene may last up to 12–14 days
- Re-cut stems by 2–3 cm at an angle and place immediately into clean, sanitised buckets of fresh water with a hydration solution or floral preservative to assist uptake; woody stems can be slow to rehydrate if untreated
- Allow at least 4–6 hours of conditioning before onward distribution or use
- Moderately ethylene sensitive — exposure may trigger petal shatter and leaf drop, so ethylene protection is advised during shipping and storage
- Lead times and freight rates vary by destination.
- All products are subject to seasonal availability, please contact us for current availability, pricing and export options.
- Bulk pricing available for large-volume orders; minimum order quantities apply.
- Dedicated export solutions with competitive freight arrangements.
