Geraldton Wax Purple Pride (Chamelaucium uncinatum) is a bold cultivar renowned for its striking purple blooms and heavy flower set. Native to Western Australia but cultivated in South Africa through OZ Flora’s supplier farms, it is favoured for its vibrant colour and dependable supply. This variety is ideal for supermarket floral programmes, mixed bouquets, straight-line bunches, and seasonal retail promotions, especially those requiring vivid tones for spring, summer, or festive ranges. Its dense flowering habit ensures strong visual impact in both bulk bouquets and retail-ready lines.
Quality & Handling
- Cut and graded to export standard under strict cold-chain management; stems are selected for length, straightness, and branching uniformity, with clean foliage and vibrant flower colour
- Expected vase life is typically 7–10 days under standard conditions; with optimal hydration and hygiene, may last up to 12–14 days
- Re-cut stems by 2–3 cm at an angle and place immediately into clean, sanitised buckets of fresh water with a hydration solution or floral preservative to assist uptake; woody stems can be slow to rehydrate if untreated
- Allow at least 4–6 hours of conditioning before onward distribution or use
- Moderately ethylene sensitive — exposure may trigger petal shatter and leaf drop, so ethylene protection is advised during shipping and storage
- Lead times and freight rates vary by destination.
- All products are subject to seasonal availability, please contact us for current availability, pricing and export options.
- Bulk pricing available for large-volume orders; minimum order quantities apply.
- Dedicated export solutions with competitive freight arrangements.
