Geraldton Wax Snowflake
Geraldton Wax Snowflake delivers masses of delicate white flowers with soft green centres, providing a clean and versatile filler. With strong stems, uniform grading, and dependable freight performance, it is ideal for bouquet programmes, supermarket floral ranges, and seasonal promotions.
Geraldton Wax Snowflake (Chamelaucium uncinatum) is a waxflower cultivar prized for its elegant clusters of white blooms with pale green centres, giving arrangements a refined, crisp finish. Originally native to Western Australia, this variety is cultivated in South Africa by OZ Flora’s supplier farms for export to international wholesale markets. Snowflake’s neutral colouring makes it highly versatile, blending seamlessly into supermarket floral lines, wedding assortments, seasonal promotions, and straight-line bunches where white fillers enhance colour balance and texture.
Quality & Handling
- Cut and graded to export standard under strict cold-chain management; stems are selected for length, straightness, and branching uniformity, with clean foliage and vibrant flower colour
- Expected vase life is typically 7–10 days under standard conditions; with optimal hydration and hygiene, may last up to 12–14 days
- Re-cut stems by 2–3 cm at an angle and place immediately into clean, sanitised buckets of fresh water with a hydration solution or floral preservative to assist uptake; woody stems can be slow to rehydrate if untreated
- Allow at least 4–6 hours of conditioning before onward distribution or use
- Moderately ethylene sensitive — exposure may trigger petal shatter and leaf drop, so ethylene protection is advised during shipping and storage
- Lead times and freight rates vary by destination.
- All products are subject to seasonal availability, please contact us for current availability, pricing and export options.
- Bulk pricing available for large-volume orders; minimum order quantities apply.
