Leucadendron Red Tag
Leucadendron Red Tag features compact red cones set against clean green foliage, adding bold seasonal colour and form to bouquet lines. Strong stems, consistent grading and dependable vase life make it a reliable wholesale export variety.
Leucadendron Red Tag (Leucadendron salignum) is recognised for its rounded cones in rich red tones, framed by narrow green foliage. This contrast of colour and texture makes it well-suited to mass-market bouquets, straight-line bunches, and seasonal floral promotions. Cultivated by supplier farms in the Western Cape of South Africa, Red Tag is grown under export-ready standards, ensuring consistent supply for wholesale and retail floral programmes.
Quality & Handling
- All stems are cut at the correct maturity with consistent lengths, tight grading, and clean foliage. Bracts and cones are checked for uniform colour and integrity.
- Field heat is removed immediately after harvest through cold-shock, and product is maintained under an unbroken cold chain from farm to freight.
- Vase life is typically 12–18 days, extended to 21 days when handled optimally. Re-cut stems by 2–3 cm at a sharp angle, remove any foliage below the waterline, and place in clean buckets with fresh water or preservative solution.
- Hydrate for at least 4–6 hours before onward distribution or display.
- Not strongly ethylene-sensitive, but chronic exposure shortens vase life and reduces market quality.
- Lead times and freight rates vary by destination.
- All products are subject to seasonal availability, please contact us for current availability, pricing and export options.
- Bulk pricing available for large-volume orders; minimum order quantities apply.
- Dedicated export solutions with competitive freight arrangements.
