Leucadendron Zettie (Leucadendron laureolum x Leucadendron salignum) is a hybrid variety combining the foliage density of L. laureolum with the cone development of L. salignum. It features compact cone heads surrounded by needle-like bracts that mature from bright green to shades of bronze and pink. Cultivated in South Africa, Zettie is highly versatile, making it suitable for large-scale bouquet production, mass-market floral retail, promotional ranges, and straight-line bunches where unique texture is required.

Quality & Handling

  • All stems are cut at the correct maturity with consistent lengths, tight grading, and clean foliage. Bracts and cones are checked for uniform colour and integrity.
  • Field heat is removed immediately after harvest through cold-shock, and product is maintained under an unbroken cold chain from farm to freight.
  • Vase life is typically 12–18 days, extended to 21 days when handled optimally. Re-cut stems by 2–3 cm at a sharp angle, remove any foliage below the waterline, and place in clean buckets with fresh water or preservative solution.
  • Hydrate for at least 4–6 hours before onward distribution or display.
  • Not strongly ethylene-sensitive, but chronic exposure shortens vase life and reduces market quality.
  • Lead times and freight rates vary by destination.
  • All products are subject to seasonal availability, please contact us for current availability, pricing and export options.
  • Bulk pricing available for large-volume orders; minimum order quantities apply.
  • Dedicated export solutions with competitive freight arrangements.
