Syncarpha milleflorum is an evergreen shrub native to South Africa’s Cape fynbos. It grows up to 2 m tall and produces soft woolly foliage topped with dense, papery flowerheads in pinkish-white shades, occasionally tinged red. Known as one of the “everlasting” flowers, its bracts retain colour and form even after drying, giving it strong decorative value. Locally cultivated for the export trade, it is ideal for large-scale bouquets, seasonal promotions, straight-line bunches, and mass-market floral lines where texture and colour contrast are required.
