Geraldton Wax Guy
Geraldton Wax Guy offers crisp white flowers accented with pink-tinged buds, providing excellent contrast and filler value. With durable stem quality, vase longevity, and consistent grading, it is a versatile option for supermarket floral programmes and large-scale bouquet fillers.
Geraldton Wax Guy (Chamelaucium uncinatum) is a distinctive waxflower cultivar featuring fresh white petals with light green centres and buds that range from blush pink to deeper red tones. Cultivated in South Africa through OZ Flora’s supplier farms, though native to Western Australia, Guy is well-suited to supermarket floral lines, straight-line bunches, mass-market bouquets, and seasonal retail promotions. Its dual-colour effect between flowers and buds adds depth and texture, making it a sought-after filler for export markets.
Quality & Handling
- Cut and graded to export standard under strict cold-chain management; stems are selected for length, straightness, and branching uniformity with clean foliage and vibrant flower colour
- Expected vase life of 7–10 days under standard conditions; with optimal hydration and hygiene may last up to 12–14 days
- Re-cut stems by 2–3 cm at an angle and place immediately into clean, sanitised buckets of fresh water with a hydration solution or floral preservative to assist uptake; woody stems can be slow to rehydrate if untreated
- Allow at least 4–6 hours of conditioning before onward distribution or use
- Moderately ethylene sensitive — exposure may trigger petal shatter and leaf drop, so ethylene protection is advised during shipping and storage
- Lead times and freight rates vary by destination.
- All products are subject to seasonal availability, please contact us for current availability, pricing and export options.
- Bulk pricing available for large-volume orders; minimum order quantities apply.
