Geraldton Wax Sirius
Geraldton Wax Sirius displays crisp white flowers with pale green centres, offering a clean and versatile filler option. With durable stems, consistent grading, and reliable shipping, it is well-suited for bouquet programmes, supermarket floral ranges, and mass-market retail promotions.
Geraldton Wax Sirius (Chamelaucium uncinatum) is a refined waxflower cultivar showcasing clear white petals with fresh green centres, ideal for creating clean lines and contrast in bouquet work. Originally native to Western Australia, Sirius is cultivated in South Africa by OZ Flora’s supplier farms for large-scale export. Its pure, neutral colouring allows it to blend seamlessly with a wide range of floral assortments, making it particularly valuable in supermarket floral programmes, straight-line bunches, wedding assortments, and seasonal promotions requiring a bright filler flower.
Quality & Handling
- Cut and graded to export standard under strict cold-chain management; stems are selected for length, straightness, and branching uniformity, with clean foliage and vibrant flower colour
- Expected vase life is typically 7–10 days under standard conditions; with optimal hydration and hygiene, may last up to 12–14 days
- Re-cut stems by 2–3 cm at an angle and place immediately into clean, sanitised buckets of fresh water with a hydration solution or floral preservative to assist uptake; woody stems can be slow to rehydrate if untreated
- Allow at least 4–6 hours of conditioning before onward distribution or use
- Moderately ethylene sensitive — exposure may trigger petal shatter and leaf drop, so ethylene protection is advised during shipping and storage
- Lead times and freight rates vary by destination.
- All products are subject to seasonal availability, please contact us for current availability, pricing and export options.
- Bulk pricing available for large-volume orders; minimum order quantities apply.
