Leucadendron Coniferum
Leucadendron Coniferum features distinctive cone-like bracts with a warm rose-pink tone against dark green foliage, offering strong textural contrast for mass-market bouquets and wholesale programmes. With robust stems and consistent grading, it maintains vase life well under cold-chain conditions.
Leucadendron coniferum is prized for its unusual pinecone-like bracts, which display shades of pink to reddish-purple as they mature. The cones are set against slender green foliage, creating a bold, structured look that adds volume and seasonal interest to bouquet mixes and retail floral lines. Coniferum is suited for large-scale bouquet production, seasonal promotions, straight-line bunches, and wholesale floral supply. This South African species is cultivated by supplier farms in the Western Cape and produced to export standards.
Quality & Handling
- All stems are cut at the correct maturity with consistent lengths, tight grading, and clean foliage. Bracts and cones are checked for uniform colour and integrity.
- Field heat is removed immediately after harvest through cold-shock, and product is maintained under an unbroken cold-chain from farm to freight.
- Vase life is typically 12–18 days, extended to 21 days when handled optimally; re-cut stems by 2–3 cm at a sharp angle, remove any foliage below the waterline, and place in clean buckets with fresh water or preservative solution.
- Hydrate for at least 4–6 hours before onward distribution or display.
- Not strongly ethylene-sensitive, but chronic exposure shortens vase life and reduces market quality.
- Lead times and freight rates vary by destination.
- All products are subject to seasonal availability, please contact us for current availability, pricing and export options.
- Bulk pricing available for large-volume orders; minimum order quantities apply.
- Dedicated export solutions with competitive freight arrangements.
