Leucadendron Fire Flash
Leucadendron Fire Flash delivers deep burgundy-red bracts with a warm yellow glow toward the centres, set against slim, lance-shaped foliage for rich colour contrast in bouquet mixes and retail floral lines. Strong stems, uniform grading and dependable vase performance make it a reliable option for bulk export.
Leucadendron Fire Flash (Leucadendron salignum × Leucadendron laureolum) shows elongated, layered bracts that colour to dark red with subtle yellow tones at the base. Its primary colourway features burgundy to red bracts with olive-green foliage, while inner bracts often display yellow highlights for added depth. Intended for large-scale bouquets, mass-market retail floral programmes, seasonal promotions, and straight-line bunches, this South African hybrid is cultivated by supplier farms in the Western Cape and produced to export standards. Seasonality: winter through spring in South Africa, with availability subject to growing conditions.
Quality & Handling
- All stems are cut at the correct maturity with consistent lengths, tight grading, and clean foliage. Bracts and cones are checked for uniform colour and integrity.
- Field heat is removed immediately after harvest through cold-shock, and product is maintained under an unbroken cold-chain from farm to freight.
- Vase life is typically 12–18 days, extended to 21 days when handled optimally; re-cut stems by 2–3 cm at a sharp angle, remove any foliage below the waterline, and place in clean buckets with fresh water or preservative solution.
- Hydrate for at least 4–6 hours before onward distribution or display.
- Not strongly ethylene-sensitive, but chronic exposure shortens vase life and reduces market quality.
- Lead times and freight rates vary by destination.
- All products are subject to seasonal availability, please contact us for current availability, pricing and export options.
- Bulk pricing available for large-volume orders; minimum order quantities apply.
- Dedicated export solutions with competitive freight arrangements.
