Leucadendron Laurel Yellow
Leucadendron Laurel Yellow displays compact green bracts that mature with bright yellow tones and subtle red-tipped edges, creating a fresh and luminous look for bouquet mixes and wholesale floral lines. With strong stems and consistent grading, it is well-suited to export markets.
Leucadendron laureolum x Leucadendron discolor, known commercially as Leucadendron Laurel Yellow, is a hybrid cultivar valued for its clean bract form and colour transition. Bracts are mid-green with warm yellow highlights that intensify as they mature, often edged with a faint red flush. Primary colourway: green with yellow accents and red tips. This variety is widely used for bouquet production, mass-market floral programmes, seasonal promotions, and straight-line bunches. Cultivated by supplier farms in the Western Cape of South Africa, it is produced to export-ready standards.
Quality & Handling
- All stems are cut at the correct maturity with consistent lengths, tight grading, and clean foliage. Bracts and cones are checked for uniform colour and integrity.
- Field heat is removed immediately after harvest through cold-shock, and product is maintained under an unbroken cold-chain from farm to freight.
- Vase life is typically between 12–18 days, extended to 21 days when handled optimally; re-cut stems by 2–3 cm at a sharp angle, remove any foliage below the waterline, and place in clean buckets with fresh water or preservative solution.
- Hydrate for at least 4–6 hours before onward distribution or display.
- Not strongly ethylene-sensitive, but chronic exposure shortens vase life and reduces market quality.
- Lead times and freight rates vary by destination.
- All products are subject to seasonal availability, please contact us for current availability, pricing and export options.
- Bulk pricing available for large-volume orders; minimum order quantities apply.
- Dedicated export solutions with competitive freight arrangements.
